INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

Authors are invited to submit abstracts, followed by full papers, for consideration in the conference Architectural Studies: Foundations Positions Words. Only original proposals (not currently under review by another conference or journal, or previously published elsewhere) may be submitted.

Abstract submissions should be between 250 and 300 words and follow the format provided in the Abstract Submission Form.

Full papers must be between 3000 and 5000 words (including title, abstract, images, figures, captions, and references), and must follow the Full Paper Template provided in Microsoft Word format.

To ensure a double-blind review process, submissions must not contain identifying information. Papers that do not comply with formatting and submission guidelines may be rejected without review.

REVIEW PROCESS

Submissions are evaluated through a four-step review process.

 Step 1 — Abstract Review

All abstracts are evaluated by the Editorial Board for scope and relevance to the conference themes and subsequently undergo a double-blind peer review by the Scientific Committee.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to present their work at the conference and to submit full papers.

Step 2 — Full Paper Review

All full papers undergo a double-blind peer-review process conducted by the Scientific Committee. Based on the review reports, authors may be required to revise their submissions.

Step 3 — Revision and Publication Decision

Revised full papers are assessed by the Editorial Board to verify that reviewer comments have been adequately addressed.

Final decisions regarding inclusion in the conference proceedings are made based on the Scientific Committee’s evaluations and the satisfactory completion of revisions.

Acceptance for presentation at the conference does not guarantee publication in the proceedings. Only papers that successfully complete the review and revision process will be considered for publication.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to exclude papers that do not sufficiently address reviewer comments or meet the required scholarly and editorial standards.

Step 4 — Final Editorial Preparation

Following the conference, papers selected for publication undergo a final round of editorial revisions limited to language, formatting, and stylistic consistency.

Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings (ISSN) by Yeditepe University Press.
